NutraDiscovery was built on a single frustration: supplement information online is overwhelmingly written to sell, not to inform. Every review we publish traces every claim to a primary source — and says plainly when the evidence is thin.
Why we exist
"Most supplement content online is written by people paid to promote it — or by people copying people who are."
The global supplement market is worth over $150 billion. With that much money in play, genuinely independent analysis is rare. Review sites are routinely owned by the brands they cover. Ingredient pages hide weak evidence behind optimistic language. Dosages are listed without any reference to what clinical trials actually used.
NutraDiscovery exists to change that ratio. We cover fewer products and say more about each one — including when a product does not live up to its label.
NutraDiscovery earns revenue through affiliate commissions. When you buy a supplement through a link on this site, we may receive a small fee at no extra cost to you.
This model lets us operate without accepting brand partnerships, sponsored content, or fees for favorable reviews. Our affiliate relationships do not influence our scores, conclusions, or which products we choose to cover.
Editorial methodology
Every product goes through the same structured process. We do not take shortcuts because a product is popular, nor do we give extra scrutiny because we personally dislike a brand.
Full methodologyWe choose products based on search demand, market presence, and reader requests — not because a brand reached out. Products are purchased anonymously through retail channels.
We verify every listed ingredient, assess the dose against clinical trial data, and flag proprietary blends where individual dosages are hidden from consumers.
For each active ingredient we identify the most relevant human trials on PubMed, assess study quality, and rate the strength of evidence on a transparent scale.
We document known side effects, contraindications and drug interactions based on published data and clinical pharmacology resources.
Our final score reflects ingredient quality, dose accuracy, evidence strength and value. Reviews are updated when new studies are published or formulations change.
What guides our work
We cite the original study, not a summary of a summary. Where evidence is limited or mixed, we say so rather than cherry-picking the most favorable result.
No brand has ever paid to be featured, reviewed favorably, or appear in a buying guide. Affiliate links are added only after a review is finalized.
A supplement that does not perform to its claims gets a low score. We do not suppress unfavorable conclusions or quietly remove reviews at brand request.
Review dates are visible. When a formulation changes or a new trial is published, the review is updated and the revision is noted at the top of the page.
We always compare a product's ingredient dose against the amounts used in clinical research — not just whether the ingredient is present on the label.
Clinical language is defined when used. Our goal is for someone without a science background to understand what a study found and why it matters to them.
