Your privacy, plainly stated

We keep this policy short and in plain English. It explains exactly what data we collect when you visit NutraDiscovery, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

Last updated: June 18, 2026 4-minute read

The short version: We don't sell your data. We don't build advertising profiles. We collect only what we need to run the site and improve our content — and we tell you exactly what that is below.

01 Who we are

NutraDiscovery ("we," "us," "our") is an independent supplement review publication operated at nutradiscovery.com. We publish evidence-based reviews, guides, and analyses of nutritional supplements and nutraceutical products. We are not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, or supplement brand.

This Privacy Policy applies to all pages and features available at nutradiscovery.com. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

02 Data we collect

We collect two categories of information: data you give us directly, and data collected automatically when you browse.

Information you provide

  • Contact form submissions: When you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, the topic you selected, and the message you wrote. This is stored only for the purpose of responding to you.
  • Newsletter sign-ups (if applicable): Your email address and any preferences you set. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time on page, scroll depth, referring URL, and browser/device type. This is collected in aggregate and not tied to your identity.
  • IP address: Recorded briefly by our hosting infrastructure for security and abuse prevention, then discarded. We do not store IP addresses long-term or use them to profile you.
  • Cookies and local storage: See Section 04 for the full breakdown.

03 How we use it

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

  • To respond to messages you send through the contact form.
  • To send newsletters or updates you explicitly subscribed to.
  • To understand which content is useful to readers so we can improve it.
  • To detect and prevent spam, abuse, or security threats.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising, sell it to data brokers, or share it with supplement brands or any third party for marketing purposes.

04 Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. Here is what we use and why:

Essential cookies

These are required for basic site functionality (e.g., remembering your cookie preferences). They cannot be disabled without breaking the site.

Analytics cookies

We use privacy-respecting analytics (configured with IP anonymization and no cross-site tracking) to understand aggregate traffic patterns — total page views, popular articles, and referral sources. Analytics cookies do not identify you personally.

Affiliate cookies

When you click an affiliate link, a cookie may be set by the retailer's site to track whether a purchase is made. This is necessary for us to receive a commission at no extra cost to you. We do not control or access these third-party cookies. See Section 06 for more.

Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to read our content. Note that disabling all cookies may affect functionality on third-party retailer sites you visit via our links.

05 Third parties

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

  • Hosting & CDN: Our web host processes page requests and stores site files. It may log request metadata (IP, user agent) for security purposes.
  • Analytics provider: Collects anonymized, aggregated usage data. We have configured our analytics to avoid storing full IP addresses or building individual user profiles.
  • Email delivery service: Used to send contact form confirmations and newsletters. Only the email address and message content you provide are shared, and only for delivery purposes.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads remarketing, or any other advertising or retargeting technology.

Some links on NutraDiscovery point to products on retailer websites (such as Amazon). When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission. This comes at no additional cost to you and does not influence our editorial ratings or recommendations.

Affiliate links are clearly disclosed via our Affiliate Disclosure page and in individual reviews where relevant. We never recommend a product because of a potential commission — our reviews follow the same methodology whether or not a product has an affiliate link available.

Data collected when you click through to a retailer (including any purchase you make) is governed by that retailer's own privacy policy, not ours.

07 Data retention

We keep different types of data for different lengths of time:

  • Contact form messages: Retained for up to 24 months from the date of your last communication, then permanently deleted.
  • Newsletter subscriber data: Kept for as long as you are subscribed. Deleted within 30 days of unsubscription.
  • Analytics data: Aggregated and anonymized; retained for up to 26 months for trend analysis, then purged.
  • Server logs: Retained for up to 30 days for security purposes, then automatically deleted.

08 Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction: Ask us to limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time.

These rights apply to residents of the European Economic Area (GDPR), the United Kingdom (UK GDPR), California (CCPA/CPRA), Brazil (LGPD), and other jurisdictions with comparable data protection laws. To exercise any of these rights, contact us and we will respond within 30 days.

09 Children's privacy

NutraDiscovery is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10 Policy changes

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will add a notice to the site's homepage for at least 30 days after the update.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of NutraDiscovery after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
